Summer holiday program
Looking for school holiday activities? Our summer holiday program has you covered! Running between 3 – 27 January, Hive will be running a range of science, art and tech activities. All experiences at Hive are family friendly!
The Science Centre will be buzzing as always, with the crowd-favourite Derby Track, plus new activities run by local science communicators throughout the holidays.
Extra planetarium shows will also be running, with sessions at 11am and 2pm from Monday – Saturday. If you loved Tycho to the Moon, then get ready for the sequel, Tycho Goes to Mars, launching on Saturday 7 January! This new show sees Tycho, our favourite space dog, blasting off for the Red Planet. Tycho will explore many of the amazing features of Mars, including the largest volcano in the Solar System! Tycho goes to Mars was produced by the Melbourne Planetarium.

Summer Buzz @ Hive
After an absolutely amazing year, Hive is celebrating! On Saturday 21 January, we will be hosting the inaugural Summer Buzz @ Hive, a family-friendly day with a bunch of a cool activities.
We will be joined by various friends of Hive including Leven Regional Arts, Wings Wildlife, Penguin Beer Co, Leven Valley Vineyard and CoastFM who will be broadcasting live! There will fun Science Centre activities, FREE planetarium taster sessions, face painting plus more! Tickets and further info can be found
